Steven Spielberg Signs Bob Kolbrener

To help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Devils Tower
as the Nation’s first National Monument, Steven Spielberg has co-signed Kolbrener’s photograph RISING FOG – DEVILS TOWER. This photograph will be
presented to Devils Tower National Monument during an official ceremony on September 24, 2006 and will permanently hang in the Superintendent’s office. Kolbrener was
inspired to photograph Devils Tower after seeing Spielberg’s film
Close Encounters of the Third Kind in 1977. |

Devils Tower National Monument
Devils Tower will celebrate its 100th Anniversary after having been named as America’s first National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt on September 24, 1906. Festivities celebrating the
Centennial will begin on June 18 and run through September 24, 2006. Bob Kolbrener is closely associated with Devils Tower having first photographed there in 1987 and is the only living Master Photographer to have published photographs of this
important national treasure.
Yosemite National Park
In March, 2006 Bob Kolbrener has been invited to be the Guest Speaker at the Yosemite Association Annual Meeting – Yosemite National Park, California.

Bob Kolbrener was the recipient of 4 major awards
Bob Kolbrener was the recipient of 4 major awards, including two Gold Medals, at the recently concluded Trierenberg Super Circuit competition that took place in Austria. In the last fourteen years,
the Trierenberg Super Circuit has attracted hundreds of thousands of pictures from nearly all countries around the world. It is by far the largest annual salon of photography on the globe. It is the aim of this competition to find out the very
best photography from different styles, techniques and genres.
